Bathroom Remodel in Historic Swampscott Home
This bathroom renovation in a historic 1845 Swampscott home beautifully balances original character with modern functionality. Like many antique homes, the existing bathroom lacked the comfort and usability today’s homeowners expect, so our design focused on creating a space that felt both timeless and practical.
To improve headroom and bring in natural light, we added a dormer and rebuilt the roofline and surrounding walls.
Inside, warm finishes and thoughtful details honor the home’s historic charm, including a teak vanity, soapstone countertop, and classic black-and-white tile. Heated floors and a curbless shower complete the space, making this historic bathroom as functional as it is stunning..
