All about cabinet colors
Cabinets are the main showpiece in your new kitchen. There are so many options for colors and what you select depends on your preference and the overall aesthetic of your space. Laura, our in-house interior designer, helps you select the perfect cabinet color. It can be overwhelming!
We meet with you to understand your overall aesthetic and the vibe you are hoping to achieve. We also ask for inspirational photos or your Pinterest board to get started. We present a couple of different ideas and ultimately work together to find the perfect color for you.
White cabinets
White cabinets are a classic and timeless look, and our most popular cabinet color. It's also a great base color and we add accents in other parts of the kitchen. Our clients choose white because it is neutral and remains a popular choice, which helps to ensure the long-term value of your investment.
We've also been using more toward warm whites instead of cool whites, which is a current design trend.
Two-tone cabinets
We also do a lot of two-tone colors - such as a cherry wood island and white upper cabinets. This helps break up the design and add some warmth to the space. Wood cabinets can also better at hiding wear and tear, such as scuffs and scratches from daily use.
Color Cabinets
For a colored cabinet, blue is our most popular color. It adds a calmness and tranquility to the kitchen, and is also timeless and classic. In a kitchen in Marblehead, our clients chose a dark blue-colored island with white upper cabinets, which added a great pop of color.
We have also done all-blue cabinets in a kitchen in Swampscott. It gives the kitchen an overall welcoming vibe and visual interest.
