First floor and primary suite renovation in Swampscott

SCOPE: Wolfe Design Build renovated several first floor areas including the primary suite, front entrance, staircase, mud room, half bath, and kitchen.

In the primary suite, we converted a bedroom into a primary bath that included a deep soaking tup, glass shower, heated tile floors, and double sinks. We converted a bathroom into a walk-in closet and created a new primary bedroom.

Also on the first floor, we rebuilt several areas including a new staircase, mud room, half bath, and updated kitchen.

We were brought into the project after the schematic architectural designs were complete to manage and execute all of the construction and project management.

Q&A WITH OUR CLIENT

“I had been developing ideas about my project for many years. As I got ready to choose a contractor for the project, I tested out different contractors with smaller projects to see if I would be able to use them for my grand plan. Between interviews and small projects, I discussed my grand project with seven other contractors before choosing Matt Wolfe.

I first met Matt when he was doing work at my neighbor’s house. I was able to witness first hand how their project proceeded with the kind of efficiency, design and quality that I was looking for. My neighbor confirmed that the quality of work was as good as it appeared.

Every detail was attended to by Matt and his team in a very efficient manner. Matt’s punch list occurred on a regular basis and was more detailed than my own. Matt was able to suggest construction materials and products that I did not know about. Matt was also able to make recommendations on changes in the design to improve the overall outcome of the project. I feel very fortunate to have chosen Matt and now live in my lovely new home.”
