This stunning home renovation took place in the heart of Swampscott’s historic district.
Originally a carriage house for a nearby estate, the home was full of character but had a disjointed layout that didn’t suit the needs of our client’s growing family.
As part of a multi-phase, whole-home renovation, we partnered with the homeowners to prioritize the most impactful updates. In the first phase, we transformed the front entryway, kitchen, pantry, dining room, upstairs bathroom, and added a beautiful new deck.
Renovating a home over 100 years old came with its own set of challenges, including securing approval from Swampscott’s Historic Commission—a process we navigated successfully.
Some of our favorite design elements include the oversized kitchen island, custom beverage station, walk-in pantry, and the inviting warmth of the cabinetry and wall tones. Every detail came together seamlessly, honoring the home's history while elevating its function and style.
