Kitchen and First Floor Renovation in Swampscott
PROJECT: This project transformed the entire first floor of this Swampscott home. Our clients consider this their “forever home” and wanted to make the space more functional and modern.
The notable changes include: removed the fireplace; removed the walls between the kitchen and dining room; added a support beam; removed all the kitchen walls, including a small back entrance and bathroom; installed a new bathroom; added a new front hall closet; and added a new built-in window seat with storage and bookshelves.
In the kitchen, we designed a totally new layout that has all the storage and functionality of a modern space. We installed custom cabinets, new floors, windows and doors, a large island with seating for four, an appliance cabinet, a beverage refrigerator drawer, beautiful white tile, and pendant lights from Rejuvenation.
In the living room, we added a new built-in window seat with storage and bookshelves, new floors and windows. The house now has a new open flow from the living to the kitchen.
