Designing With Color

By Laura

Every year, The Pantone Color Institute (PCI), announces a “Color of the Year.”

The PCI selects their colors based on fashion trends, interior design trends, and observations in pop culture. According to their research, the color that has come to define 2024 is “Peach Fuzz” a “light, fruity tone that conjures peace and serenity.”

The softness of Peach Fuzz is a big departure from the Pantone Colors of 2022 and 2023 when the PCI selected Very Peri and Viva Magenta, respectively. These two beautiful jewel tones would add a big pop of color to any room.

There are several additional companies that have also started selecting a “Color of the Year”. Once again, bright colors ruled the past two years. Below are the Benjamin Moore selections for 2023 and 2024, Raspberry Blush and Blue Nova

Finally, for those of you who are adverse to bright colors, as I often am, you are in luck, because when Behr announced their 2023 Color of the Year I breathe a sigh of relief. It is called Blank Canvas

If you are looking to change the paint colors in your home or if you are trying to figure out creative ways to add pops of color to any room, please reach out to us anytime. We would love to help you find your own favorite color of the year.
